MADERA SOUTH STALLION stormed over the Madera County Academic Decathlon on February 21st, securing the County’s title. Students have been competing on a weekly basis since January 21st and have the opportunity to compete at the state level. 

All year they have come to weekly meetings outside of class time to study with the team; some have even been meeting weekly since May. Madera South Senior, Abril Chavez, was given the top scorer award becoming the highest scoring student in the entire competition, earning four medals, four scholarships, and Fresno State units. The team won a total of 26 medals and did a fantastic job representing their school. Congratulations Stallions, and good luck at the State competition!
