The Madera Adult School is one of the leading adult schools in California to operate in a “One Stop Shop” Center. The “One Stop Shop” philosophy operates under the belief that every door a community member walks through is the right door because of the cooperation between cohabiting agencies. Their location shares a space with Workforce to provide a one-stop-shop for interested participants. Madera Adults schools offer a variety of classes such as:
- Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- English as a Second Language
- High School Diploma
- High School Equivalency Test (HiSET)

High School Equivalency Test (First-year Principal Shirley Gregory leads the school this year. Gregory brings with her nine years of experience as a teacher at Madera Adult school to the new position. Gregory earned her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Fresno Pacific Unversity in 2005. Now that she is at the helm, her vision for the school is to grow and meet the community and its needs continuously. One thing she understands clearly, she needs an easier way for people to access the school’s information. Part of that plan is to provide a better online user experience when visiting their website. She has partnered with a local business, Workingarts Marketing Inc, to launch a user-friendly website. Workingarts Marketing Inc brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will help knock this project out of the park. The goal of the website is to provide accurate real-time information about registration, course offerings, and more. The information would be more accessible for people to navigate; it was also available in Spanish for their large-speaking audience to use as well. The newly redesigned website will go live sometime before the fall semester allowing students an easy way to enroll in classes.
