THE MADERA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT HELD ITS FIRST ANNUAL CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE CONFERENCE

OVER 500 CLASSIFIED employees attended the motivational event that took place at the Madera South High School Campus on January 13, 2020. The Classified Employee Conference featured a spectacular day of inspiring speakers such as Dee Hankins, Motivational Speaker and Sayra Vazquez, Univision TV Co-Host from Despierta Valle Central. The conference offered enriching workshops around personal and professional development. Some of the conference workshops that were offered included: Abusive Substance Recognition, Effective Workplace Communication, Eating Healthy & Reducing Stress, to Google Sheets for Beginners, Graphic Design 101, Online Learning and much more.
The conference vendor fair included conference sponsoring businesses and organizations; Madera Linkage Foundation, Troxell & Mohr Physical Therapy, 47th Place Carpet One, California School Employees Association, California Valued Trust and Consumer Medical, Kaiser Permanente, Vision Service Plan, California Public Employee Retirement System, Anthem Blue Cross, and Delta Dental.
Employees gained tangible and highly accessible tools they can utilize at their convenience to progress in their professional growth plan and achieve their goals. Employees had an incredible opportunity to network with other colleagues across the District, which promoted collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The Madera Unified School District Governing Board strongly believes in our classified staff and understands the excellent support services they provide. Overall, we had a tremendous day of connecting, learning, and growing that will ultimately make us a better and more successful District to serve our Madera students and community. We hope to have inspired and motivated the MUSD classified employees to be the best they can be in their current and future positions within Madera Unified.
