Ripperdan Community Day School

Our 2020 senior Alicia Amaro first came to Ripperdan as a sophomore in 2017 and within no time became a reliable leader amongst our students. Throughout her time at Ripperdan she has received perfect attendance numerous times as well as being awarded student of the month at least once each year. She has participated at both the local and state level competitions for National History Day two years in a row. Alicia has participated in multiple athletic tournaments for Ripperdan and was awarded the Sportsmanship trophy during the 2019 2nd annual volleyball tournament hosted by Ripperdan. (The Sportsmanship award is decided by all participating coaches.) Alicia has participated in Leadership for two years, during which she has assisted in award ceremonies, updating the school bulletin boards, organizing spirit week, and helped with the transition of incoming new students. In addition, Alicia contributed to a children’s book written and published by Ripperdan students, and then she was invited to read the book to Alpha Elementary Kindergarten classes. Alicia recently found employment to help her family financially while maintaining a full class schedule. She continues to work as she is considered an essential worker. Alicia has done an amazing job representing Roadrunners during her time at Ripperdan.
